We didn't want to drive and used the bus service from the village to go to Lucca, around a 15 mins journey. The host, Fiona, is fantastic and easy to communicate with. "Beautiful villa only 2.5 miles from center of Lucca, but felt worlds away. Situated in a quiet residential neighborhood, it was conveniently placed close to local amenities (grocery store, etc.). Wonderful outdoor sitting/eating areas and local Osteria (5’ walk) was excellent (had dinner there twice in 4 days). Local church bells tolling on the hour just added to the charm of the setting! "The house is very large on the outskirts of Lucca part way up a hillside in a forested setting, about 10 minutes from the Lucca wall. We enjoyed our two week stay there. The contact, Andrea, met us at the house, and explained every aspect of the property. And he checked in with us in person and by phone several times during our stay.
