"The resort is peaceful and clean. Most staff was friendly. We only had one unpleasant experience. On Tuesday, the twelfth. I think his name was Eric. My husband stayed he spoke to him rudely. I loved Jose Maria and Genesis! They are genuinely kind and friendly. I would love to go back, however, the road leading to the resort is very rough! You almost need a 4 x 4. It’s a dirt road and lots of curves and narrow! I can not imagine it when it rains. I also noticed some small worms in the room. I didn’t mind it since the resort is out in nature. I think they were harmless. The pool is very beautiful and so is the dining area. "

"Admittedly, we discovered this lodge because our flight from the Liberia airport was unexpectedly cancelled. We had spent a long, awful day at the airport and it was rather late when I booked through Expedia. (The airline had no accommodations planned for travelers. Ufff). I was SO relieved that the staff were willing to stay open late to receive us. They even asked the restaurant staff to stay late so we could all get something to eat before bed. The natural surroundings and nature are beautiful. The breakfast was a perfect Tico breakfast with gallo pinto and huevos. I am so grateful to have had a safe, clean cabin with air-conditioning in which to stay. Would highly recommend! "

"What an amazing stay! The farm is thriving with wildlife and the plants. There’s so much hiking nearby. Our room was comfortable and cooled off at night. We loved the place so much that we want to come again. Very well maintained and the owners feel like family "

"This resort is an absolute hidden gem! My husband wanted an authentic cultural experience, and I wanted to lay in a lounge chair by the beach/pool. My kids are teens, and wanted lots of activities. Nandel checked all the boxes for us. The staff felt like friends by the time we left. Our kids even insisted on taking pictures with them to remember them by. The facilities were clean and well maintained. It is a windy area, but when it's 90 degrees every day, that feels really good. The area specializes in kite surfing, but there are many other beautiful beaches within short distance as well. The food was a mix of local and international cuisine, and the breakfasts were our favorite! I am a runner, and went running on roads around/adjacent to the property, and never felt unsafe. I can't recommend this place enough for someone that wants an authentic Central American experience."

"We had a wonderful stay at Eladio’s place. Eladio and his family are amazing hosts and Eladio was there for anything that we needed or asked.Overall the property is wonderful, lush, the pool is amazing and the iguanas are extremely entertaining. We loved this very homey abode and were very comfortable here!It would be an advantage to have a vehicle as you’re not close to amenities but Eladio will take you places and is an excellent tour guide.The beds could use a little update but the entire place and surroundings far more than made up for it!"
