"The property is in a beautiful setting, very close to Ischia Ponte and a short walk/bus journey to Ischia Porto. First impressions were great with the gardens being very green and beautiful. Check in wasn't the most enthusiastic welcome. We were handed a key and told to take the stairs. No mention of breakfast times, WiFi, etc. Our room was OK. "This is a beautiful oasis. Terraced gardens and open spaces to sit and enjoy the incredible panoramic views. There are numerous seating areas, lawn chairs… special spots to take in the moment. The thermal pool is excellent and so relaxing at the end of the day. The solarium is warm and cozy even if the weather is not good. "Calacala was our favourite accomodation throughout all of Italy. The family-run service really shines through and the hospitality is unmatched. The food in the restaurant cooked by Salvatore and his team is some of the best we have ever eaten with a whole farm to table approach. Eduardo's garden/farm is beautiful to visit, and it equally shines through in the food. The rooms are comfortable, and we could access the whole island easily on an electric push bike.
