"Perfect place for rest, peace, and quiet. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. The view is incredible — rainforest and ocean views with amazing sunrises and sunsets. Comfortable rooms with excellent beds/bedding and good AC. Hosts are very friendly, but also respectful of privacy. The pool is amazing with twice as many loungers as ever needed so there is always a good place to relax. Delicious breakfast. The roads are bumpy and the final approach is steep, but a 4X4 car can handle it, no problem."

"Luna Azul was the perfect base of operations for our vacation. We absolutely loved the remote and peaceful atmosphere, and especially the incredible views. Days spent at the house around the pool were a great way to relax and unwind. The location was also ideal for exploring the Nicoya peninsula. We enjoyed a coffee plantation tour, horseback riding, surfing at several of the nearby beaches, and touring the small beach towns. Finally, the caretaker Antonio really took the experience to the next level. He was so friendly and helpful and really helped make our stay comfortable and special. Communication with Mike throughout the process was easy and timely, and he provided us with a thorough guidebook and recommendations. We would love to come stay again!"

"This was a wonderful stay in a remarkable place. The room was very comfortable with a balcony with a fantastic view. The food was excellent and the staff were really kind. The highlight was the "safari" with Kenneth, around the property to see birds. One of the best birding experiences we've had. Palo Verde was closed, but this allowed us to see huge flocks of birds in the wetlands right next to Palo Verde. We then walked around several times, as well. The road there is challenging, and it's remote - you have to eat at the hotel, because there's nowhere else. But it was the highlight of our trip. Secluded, beautiful, comfortable, and great wildlife."

"We had an amazing stay over Christmas at this beautiful home. All I can say is wow! It is breathtaking when you get out of the car and see the beautiful outdoor living space right on the ocean! It is so remote and not touristy, which we loved. We had Dominga provide most of our meals and the food was soooo good! We had the private Chef Stuart come and cook Christmas Day for us and it was amazing! His ceviche was the best I’ve ever tasted. Johana did an amazing job cleaning the house and was very helpful with lining us up with massages and horse back riding at the house! Such a beautiful setting to relax and enjoy the ocean!The drive was interesting coming from the Liberia airport. Pavement for 2 hours then 1 hour of dirt roads crossing rivers and going over step mountain passes. Our van did fine and google maps did a good job of getting us there.
