"Pros: Stunning views. Private. Peaceful. Solid internet. Good communications with owner and property manager. Great pool. Upstairs suite was perfect. The locals were GREAT. Down to earth and helpful.Cons: Should have minimum necessaries for first night such as bars of soap in the bathroom and one roll of paper towels for kitchen. Owner should consider upgrading his fumigation program to mitigate swarming ants and to seal all areas where other unwanted critters enter the house.Observation: It was a 1 hour bumpy ride to the house from the primary route and the house is somewhat remote. This can be good or bad depending on what you are looking for. BUT I would stay there again under the right circumstances because the owner is a man of his word and is very responsive."

"Wow! We had such a time. The home is beautiful, well kept and run by the best staff. The surroundings allow you to see wildlife in the trees, whales in the ocean, and birds in the sky. Every meal was exceptional and the concierge service set up our airport shuttles, rental cars and the best excursions. We were sad to leave and can’t wait to return one day"

"Wonderful, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Good food. Nice pool area. Pool could use a little more cleaning of leaves, etc. but that didn’t stop us from enjoying it. Nice big rooms with high ceilings. A/C had to work hard to keep it cool. Fantastic river tour with our guide and constant companion, Santos. Would definately recommend! "

"We had a wonderful stay in Punta Islita. The house was amazing — perfect for a group of friends as it features a central shared kitchen and living room which is surrounded by 3 private bedroom villas — all leading out to the pool. The villas were quiet, clean, with great AC making for a comfortable stay. The location, while in a quiet rural area, had several great local restaurants nearby and was a quick 10 minute walk to a beautiful quiet beach. The locals are so friendly and we also enjoyed doing activities/ excursions via the hotel next door. Diego was incredibly helpful and answered any questions we had in preparation for the trip. Lisbeth, the house caretaker and chef was absolutely wonderful. I HIGHLY recommend hiring her to cook some meals at the house. Probably the best food we had all trip. We would happily return any time :) "

"Had a very quiet relaxing stay. More like a BnB. Spectacular sunsets next to a beautiful infinity pool. A bit remote but that is part of the charm. Terrible roads to get there as most rural CR roads area but worth the trouble. Would stay again! "

"Excellent place! We were absolutely delighted to find this safe, well-appointed, beautifully-decorated room after a long days’ drive. Self check-in, after hours, was easy, and we found the lovely grounds and pool to be an oasis. We made our own simple dinner and had everything we needed to prepare it. Absolutely loved our stay here, and wish it were longer! We’ll be back! 💖"
