They do NOT inform anyone of this and you need to get to the Ferry to cross over to Tambor which is not 24/7 You need to plan very carefully so you don't lose a day like I did and so many others did that I met at the Hotel. We ate dinner at the hotel most nights for convenience and because the food and service was good. The main drawback of this hotel is that it is too far away from Santa Teresa and the main beaches to walk so you need to book taxis ( $20 each way), rent an ATV or rent a car. "

"We had a great stay at Akwa! Alexia and Eduardo were welcoming, kind and responsive. The villa was luxurious, with minimalist design, a full sliding door that transformed the space into shared indoor/outdoor space. The private plunge pool is a game changer! The driveway into the development is very steep, but this is typical of many accommodations in Santa Teresa. You can walk to the beach and back, just prepare yourself for a short but challenging climb back up! "
