"We had a wonderful time with extended family here, enough room for everyone! Management and Socoro the caretaker were both very nice people and very helpful. The breakfasts were delicious and quite a treat to have them provided fresh daily for us with 2 kinds of fresh made juices as well!"

"Amazing location and great property. The courtyard is lovely and the property is spacious. We had 5 people (3 adults, 2 children) and had plenty of room. The bathroom water pressure & hot water was amazing (sounds like a small thing until you check out other plumbing in the area). We were there the week before Dia de Los Muertos, so it was loud,but we got used to it. "

As a female who booked the room, the only time he addressed me instead of my fiance was if i was solo and when I paid him. "Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Casita del Abuelo. It’s a lovely house and was immaculate when we arrived. Jorge, the host, was very attentive and went above and beyond to welcome us and address our needs. The neighborhood is very pleasant and we were able to walk to a couple different breakfast spots in the morning. We mostly took taxis to and from the Centro but also found the bus to be quite convenient. All in all, we highly recommend La Casita del Abuelo."

"Wonderful expansive home for a comfortable stay in Oaxaca. The location is about a 20 minute walk to the main templo (downtown). The key part of this home is its kitchen. You wake up to the sounds of the neighborhood and make breakfast. You plan your day and walk downtown. After a day of sightseeing, we took a cab back up."

"If you are reading this and Stellah’s place is available, book it. Don’t think about it, just do it. We spent 6 nights at Stellah’s and had a fabulous time and we were never less than delighted. "The property is large and can easily accommodate a large group. Housekeeper and groundskeeper were thorough and attentive. Kitchen was stocked with continental breakfast items and coffee. The facility was private and secure. Neighborhood was on a main bus route so it’s a little noisy. Nearby restaurants are a block or two away and are excellent.Mattresses were hard. Overall, it was a great place to stay for downtown events!"
