The location of the property was the best part. It was directly in the heart of the historic district. I would warn you if you have any kind of mobility issues that there are a lot of stairs throughout the property. But this is also what makes it unique. The rooms are a little tight, but all of the features are very well done. The breakfast buffet is very extensive and nice.
This property was amazing. The inside is absolutely beautiful. The room was super clean and the property itself smelled lovely. The staff was very friendly and breakfast at the hotel was delicious. It is also an ideal location if you want to go to the market.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
service is exceptional.
My room was very mediocre. I even paid an "upgrade" but the walls were dirty and the furniture was sooo outdated one couldn't even sit on it as it was not adequate... definitely not worth what I paid...considering im used to traveling world wide and know the price of accommodations and what to expect and how to balance the limitations of a place etc . so not to expect something unreasonable etc. but definitely a disappointment with the room.
Beautiful property in a central area. We had a ground floor street facing room which was loud and a bit cave like with no natural light. Avoid these rooms! Needs some more vegetarian food options. Good breakfast buffet.

Disliked: Staff & service
The property is beautiful/ancient as are the courtyards and pool. The location is fantastic and the Zocalo, excellent dining and main Cathedral are within blocks. The rooms are rather sparse and dark. The bathroom in my room could use an update - seal broken on shower head and cracked/chipped tiles. The check in/check out process was a tad unfriendly and dour. It doesn’t feel like a happy place for the staff.
Beautiful place. Excellent service. Wonderful experience. I would highly recommend it and hope to come back. The premises are kind of magical. Beautifully restored 450 years old convent. Needless to say, it makes it for a unique experience.
Stunning, atmospheric and unique property, very well maintained and ideally located. Loved the many routes to the room and the several features and artefact in the premises. Room was great, with only some minor perfection issues noted. Check in was personalised, house keeping let down more than once. The weekend was a noisy affair with wedding and events, so if you are after quiet and serene then avoid weekends. Staff in general were very good, great service at the restaurant (booked tables were not reserved for us). The weekend brunch including wines and mimosa was a bargain. Great opportunity to try authentic food in the outstanding environment including live singers (Mariachi) was memorable. Daily breakfast was also great with personalised service and a la cart (some confusion over what is included). High price we paid (late booking) and the few issues noted above brings it to 4 stars although we loved the stay, ao not bringing it to 3.
The venue was beautiful and very convenient. The only downside (not a big deal) was they had a convention going on so the speaker was loud by the pool on one of the days.
