"Camino Verde is an exceptional place to stay. The shared deck area is a real highlight. It boasts views across into the cloud forest and is protected from the wind and mist by folding floor to ceiling glass doors. There is a wood burning stove, shared kitchen, free tea and coffee all day. The breakfast is exceptional and good food can be enjoyed in the Soda just next door. The decor is quirky and there are plenty of shared indoor and outdoor spaces so whichever room you choose, there are always options. Walkable into the centre of Santa Elena with secure parking. Highly recommended. "

"Beautiful property. Great pool. Great views. This hotel is a little pricier than the others in the area but it worked out great for us. There was a nice pool and bar to relax in after a day’s activities. The room was clean and the air conditioning kept the room nice and cold. The included breakfast had a nice buffet. Our dinner was excellent as well. Overall all a terrific experience. "

"Don’t hesitate to stay at Hotel Belmar with your family. First time to Costa Rica and we wanted a hotel with a beautiful atmosphere- close to the cloud forests, clean and good food and drink. This is it- the hotel was even more beautiful on the inside than I expected. I love the small details like an actual tree to hold the sinks in the guest bathroom area. Our room was one of the basic ones on the first floor in the main lodge and it did not disappoint. The most helpful part was that the entire staff was so kind and going the extra mile. It made everything else very easy. We really enjoyed the yoga classes as well. Even kids are welcome at yoga! We booked a Guide through hotel belmar and saw monkeys and other animals in the nearby cloud forest and also did the El Tigre waterfall hike as recommended by the staff. It did not disappoint love riding horses up the steep hills. We slept soundly every night and could not have asked for a better start to our trip. Don’t forget to ask the hotel to arrange pick up at San Jose or Liberia airport for you. It was reasonable at about $200 And much better than driving those windy Mountain roads at night."

"10/10 hotel. Family of 4 (2 adults 2 12 yr old). Staffs were helpful and very friendly. No uber in this town. They helped us arranged taxi pickup and drop off. Location is perfect quick walk to downtown, supermarkets and restaurants. Room is spacious and clean. Water pressure was a little low for shower. Otherwise everything is perfect. Loved the marshmallow they provided. Would recommend and would stay here again."
