"Be aware, if they give you room 102, ask for a change. The hot water in the shower is inconsistent and you would get one minute of hot water and then 5 minutes of cold water and so on, so you would shower for 1 minute and stand in the cold for minutes waiting for the water to get hot again to finish your shower, horrible experience. I stayed for 5 nights so I know what I am talking about. Everything was great especially for the price, would have been 5 stars if not for the hot water issue."

"Casona La Recoleta is a wonderful place to stay at Cusco. My spouse became ill from the altitude sickness upon arrival. The staff immediate tested her blood oxygen level and offered an emergency oxygen tank to relieve her symptoms. My spouse kept on and off the oxygen without success of bringing her blood oxygen level up on her own. We ran out of the oxygen in the middle of the night, and the 24-hr onsite staff helped with another tank while I was trying to book a flight to get us down to Lima...

"Son una ESTAFA , cuando llegamos al lugar supuestamente ellos ya no eran los dueños y no eran los dueños , pero lo más que hablamos con ellos nos dimos cuenta que si lo eran y que estaban encargados de la propiedad y que solo decidieron darle a nuestra habitación a otras personas . Si no fue que expedía nos da la opción de pagar en el lugar hubiéramos pagado dos veces . Tenga cuidado antes de hacer una reservación con este lugar en específico."

"Staying at this quaint and lovely B&B reminded me of sleeping over at my grandma's house in the 1980s. Doña Vilma is warm and welcoming, and ready to help with anything you may need. She had bread, tea, and fruit waiting for us in the morning and cooked eggs fresh as soon as we were up. She also asked the day before what kind of fruit my kids like. "Owners are lovely, they took great care of us. Room was a little cold and they brought us a heater plus more comfortable blankets (not the very heavy ones they'll give in some hostels). They brought us some tea as well. Very lovely couple ~"

"The place is close to the center. That is a nice thing. San Pedro Market is just around the corner. The staff was friendly but did not speak a lot of english and when we had to check out we where charged with 5% extra because of a credit card service charge. Not cool when you are out of cash because you are heading out of the country. "

"The hotel was nice and comfortable. It was smaller then expected but we made it work. The host julia is incredible. She provided us with items to cook breakfast everyday and was easy to get in touch with if needed. There was hot water and the toilets worked! We stayed in the unit that had the overlooking terrace over cusco and it was gorgeous. "

"The hotel is fantastic. It is on a quiet, safe street about a 10 minute walk from the plaza. The staff speaks English and was always available to help with anything we needed. The hotel atmosphere is wonderful and buffet breakfast features omelettes to order and barista coffee. We got a room with a sitting room and bathroom on the first floor and a sleeping loft on the second. My only complaint is that wifi would not work in our room. Overall I highly recommend the hotel and would certainly stay there again."

"Clean room, friendly staff, conveniently located -- this is now our go-to place to stay for all future visits to Cusco. If you miss their breakfast due to a planned tour and early hour departure for said tour, they pack you an amazing to-go bag to make sure you are nourish. We will be back."

"In the frenetic pace of Cusco is his wonderful tranquil oasis of a hotel. Nestled inconspicuously among cobbled streets it is close to great restaurants and shopping. The staff go above and beyond in the way of customer service, their kindness and willingness to help is totally authentic and they make you feel like family,. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the beds and pillows are comfortable and the breakfast was so delicious! Breakfast was available from 6am and they packed us a breakfast box when we left early for a day trip. The back of the hotel opens to a wonderful view of the city and offers seating to enjoy quiet time or breakfast with this panoramic view. I had two massages during my time at Atoq and both were really good. This hotel is a real gem at this price point. A big thank you to all the Atoq staff for making our stay so lovely! "
