Not my favorite family vacation. No help
We booked our family vacation at a different location that was near sea world and other activities we were planning on doing and one with a pool! The night before our trip the hotel called and had to move us to a different location a bit farther away. When we got there there was no pool. I have a 2 and 3 year old and the pool was a big part of our vacation plans. Frustrated but fine. The day we arrived they had a plumber working on the bathroom sink all day, again fine, when we can back to the room there was a large trash can holding the large amounts of water pouring from the ceiling. I called and left a message for sunshine suites people(as there is no front desk) and I received a text message back just apologizing. They never offered to move us! Moldy water that my kids kept trying to play in....gross! Hotel.com tried calling them too! Also Hotels.com sent the email about the change in location and have 2 different adddress which was just confusing when trying to fine this place. Frustrating all around

The morning of arrival I received a text message from Rebecca advising me to let her know when we were 15 away from checking in and she would meet us. She ended up meeting us in our assigned parking spot - this spot we had to pay $12 a night for and we couldn't even see our car from the apartment. Not a close spot especially when traveling with children. Side not - Rebecca was very nice! When we walked into the apartment building it reminded us of a scary movie and the interior was outdated. We head to the third floor apartment and heard every conversation from the surrounding apartments. Great - paper thin walls and we have kids. Sorry neighbors you won't be happy with us. The apartment itself was Ok, clean but again very outdated. The beds were horrible, especially the pull out, you could feel every spring!! The shower was a joke! The shower head was so low we had to duck down to get the top of ours head wet. The toilet ran and ran unless you wiggled the handle. The kitchen was so outdated we ended up eating out each day as there was a fear we would burn down the place if we attempted the stove. The balcony was filled with spider webs, pool was filled with bugs and the neighborhood was sketchy. Don't walk outside alone at night. Lesson learned for us. We should have listened to the reviews on here prior to booking.

Comfortable and clean
My family and I really enjoyed our stay in this apartment. I was a little skeptical as I didn't see much reviews however I was pleased when I arrived. The apartment was cute, clean and spacious. We were very comfortable during the weekend. Rebecca was very easy to communicate with and accommodated our arriving arrangements. I would 100% stay here again. Great experience!

Nice apartment, close to Seaworld and beaches! So convenient to have a kitchen for our family vacay. Not sure why the rep helping us check in insisted on meeting in the leasing office rather than just giving us our unit number, though.

Would not stay here again. needs remodeled including exterior needs manicured. bed is not premium or pillowtop, tv in only one bedroom. cable sucked. bathroom plumbing doesn't work good. They do tell you about the cleaning fee when you book, but parking fee is snuck in there. I knew about it before hand because I looked at my booking after I booked and noticed it but you should be told when you book along with the cleaning fee. Good thing is its only few miles from beach and close to stores but a lot of homeless people in the area. Next time I will pay a little more, but thought this would be fine since it had a 3.5 star there was an upscale condo for only 6 bucks more but I thought no this looks fine from the picture and condo didn't have a pool but we didn't use the pool anyways.

Apartment close to SeaWorld
The space and location were perfect for what we needed and our group of four adults and two children. The apartment was well appointed and comfortable and had everything you needed from towels to cutlery to an iron and ironing board. Upon arriving, I was a bit confused because, having reserved this through Orbitz, I thought I was going to a hotel, but the address was that of an apartment complex. It didn't say Sunshine Suites anywhere, but the apartment staff was helpful and told me that I needed to call the number and have them meet me there. We were earlier than expected, and I think if we would have arrived on time, they would have been there to greet us. My kids loved the pool. Access was easy and convenient. We did have one issue while we were there, and once I got a hold of someone with Sunshine Suites, they stated they would send someone out or call. Neither of those things happened, so lack of communication was a minus. Thankfully, our issue resolved itself, or I would have had to call again. Overall, it was a nice place to stay for a decent price.

Terrible Apartment
This room is not a suite; it's an apartment in an apartment complex built in the 80's. This location is not family oriented. There are nude bars, massage parlors, liquor stores etc all around. The sheets on the beds had not been cleaned. We found what appeared to be a part of a weave and pubic hair in the bed. When we called about the bedding situation, we were brought new sheets... We had to clean our apartment to even consider staying there. We bleached the kitchen and bathroom and sprayed Lysol on every inch. The dumpster outside our room was overflowing and producing a significant stench, so the balcony referenced in the description was not accessible as a result. The pictures posted online are not of the apartment they put you in once you arrive. We traveled with our family to watch our son graduate from the Marines. We had to book another room at another facility for the remaining duration of our stay. The apartment complex was not willing to work with us or Expedia on a refund for the remaining 3 nights. Terrible place to stay!

Apartment not a true hotel
Very clean and lots of space inside the apartment. It's an APARTMENT complex,not a typical hotel. If you are okay with that then a good place to stay. The building itself was a little run down, elevator not working since Oct 2016. The room was nice. 2 Heated pools and a Jacuzzi. Plenty of restaurants nearby (walking distance) and close to Sea World and the San Diego Zoo (car required). It was...good.

Stay Away
This place is a scam. It is an apartment complex in a horrid part of town that is renting rooms as "suites". The room they offered had a carpet that had been freshly urinated on; the hallways were loaded with junk; the elevator was broken and the outside entrance door had no security locks...open to whomever wanted to come in. The balconies were strewn with laundry and looked as if they were being used for outside storage. I refused to stay and booked elsewhere. Neither the 'suites' or Expedia have been at all helpful in getting my money back

Apartment stay was a pleasant surprise!
I wasn't certain how the apartment part of this was going to go, but it was clean, comfortable, roomy and the staff was very accomodating. There was a musty, old dwelling smell initially, which cleared with the windows open. We were in town to tour colleges and the location was perfect to see SDSU, loop over to REI then UCSD and La Jolla. We came back to the hotel and then went downtown, which was south. A great central locale, with fast food next door and a Von's less than a block away

I ended up getting into town a little later than expected, and wasn't exactly sure where to go. After calling the number in the confirmation e-mail, I spoke to Rebecca, and she assured me it was no problem that I arrived later than I planned, and she came and met me immediately. She was nice enough to show me to my reserved parking spot, and also walked me around the property and showed me all of the amenities that Sunshine Suites has to offer. The room was great. Having a kitchen is a must for me when traveling, so having a nice space with modern appliances was wonderful. I'll definitely be staying here for future business trips in San Diego!

Dama som hjalp oss var alle tiders. Det vare bare å sende mail dersom det var noe, hun svarte fort og kunne hjelpe oss med alt. Beliggenheten vare grei, kort vei til det meste. Dette var en veldig bråkete plass. Flyplass ikke så langt unna, bossbil ca hver mårning, hørte all trafikk og det var noen arbeidsmenn som jobba på taket og startet dagen veldig tidlig. Det står i annonsen at det var fult ustyrt kjøkken. Grytene var små, ikke noen panner som hørte til ovnen, og heller ingen store gryter, skåler eller panner. Nabolaget virket litt så som så.. politiet var på døra til naboen den første kvelden vi var der. Virket som alle som bor der har hund. Vi glemte et par med svømmebriller ved bassenget, og dagen etter var det noen som hadde tatt de. Bassengområdet var greit. Fitnesrommet var ingenting å skrøyde over. Alt i alt, dette er nok ikke en plass jeg kommer til å reise til igjen.
