"Excellent pool and 200 feet from black sand beach is the highlight. The pool was large and in a perfect relaxed setting. The beach was down a beautiful path and to an incredible beach which never had anyone on it and you could walk on for hours. The house had a couple minor issues which could be expected with any house in a rain forest. The home owner Ale immediately responded without any questions offering assistance and super friendly. "

"Overall, this is an amazing property. The only issue we had was the lack of fans to move air. All of the structures on the property are open air and have no central air conditioning so the addition of fully functioning ceiling fans is very important. The fan in the main room did not work at all and other ceiling fans seem to not move much air."

"We had a great time staying at Gecko's lodge. Tine and Rene were very welcoming and made our stay really enjoyable. We loved the treehouse and the open air concept that gave us a really neat experience in the rainforest setting. We were able to see monkeys, sloths, frogs, birds and many other animals all in their natural habitat, right from the deck of the house and walking through the garden. "The primary reason to stay in this casita is the location and the stunning views. The garden is beautiful with a path that opens to La Playa Negra. The beach is quiet and private and absolutely breathtaking. We were able to spot the sloth in the garden on a few occasions and had an up close view of him moving once which was very special. As previously mentioned in reviews, there was a bottle of wine and chocolate waiting for us. We were met to check in and get acclimated to the environment....

"Ernesto and his wife tatiana were great to deal with, they communicated well, and he was here to greet us upon arrival. The total property Is so great, it’s like a small boutique hotel… There are three separate houses, with a communal area that has two swimming pools, an outdoor kitchen and multiple seating areas. We stayed in the two bedroom house, The showers are huge with lots of hot water, and the beds are so very comfortable ! Please note that it is over 2 miles outside of the little town,...

"We loved our stay at Las Casas - it was our own slice of paradise. The pictures don’t do it justice. One thing to note there is no games room or yoga deck but we didn’t mind as we had more space than we knew what to do with. There were so many wild animals passing through we were in heaven and the staff couldn’t have been better. Hoping we can return again one day."
