"With a long 4-day weekend on the calendar, we looked for a place we hadn't been to that wasn't too far. This was it! Elk Bend is a small community between Challis and Salmon. The town doesn't have a lot of ammenities, so come prepared with what you need or plan a commute to the Saveway in Salmon. The only restaurant in town--the Dusty Mule--had great burgers and the half plate of Nachos was enough for 3-4 (We took half home). The home is exceptionally clean with hardwood floors throughout. "We stayed here while coming in for a hunting and fishing trip. It was perfect for the 5 adults that stayed. Only downfall is the 4th bedroom is a small cabin/ house in the back yard detached from the house but still nice and usable. The house had been recently renovated and was very nice. Would highly recommend staying here. "
