"Slept so well in this quiet retreat in older part of town. On warmer days feel like sitting outside with the large sliding door open. Apartment appointed with anything you might need. Nearby pharmacy, bank, Casino and cafe and brasserie and restaurants within 1 km walk. Good takeaway kebab just steps out the door. Lovely market and easy town to use as base for visiting Lot and Cele area with many medieval towns, Peche Merle, etc. Would stay afain anytime back in this area."

"Very private and relaxing stay the Pictures of the terrace do not do it justice and we had fantastic weather and so made the most of the pool which is in the sun all day. "We absolutely loved our stay in Anne’s gorgeous stone house! It’s so calm, peaceful and really perfect for a relaxing holiday! Driving distance to all the cute villages, and everything you would need! Plus my 2.5 year old loved the cats and sweet dog that came to visit us! Thank you Anne!! Really wonderful place!"

"This was a stunning property, with glorious views and ideally located for day explorations of nearby hill top villages. We had lovely days visiting sights in the morning then lounging on the terrace and by the pool. Our son adored playing the pool (which in July was nice and shaded by 4pm, an ideal time for playing before dinner/BBQ). "

During a heatwave, the interior was always cool and the pool was large, clean and indispensable after a day of adventures. It’s hard to imagine a lovelier gîte, or nicer people."

"Ancienne Ecole is scruffy and run down but it could still be a charming, rustic place if it was just being looked after in the basics. It isn't though. The owners told us they weren't using a management company anymore and they were finding it difficult to deal with maintenance issues remotely. I'm sure it is tricky but it's no fun to rent it for your family holiday and have to deal with constant problems such the pool not working, and the stench of sewage from the drains in the ensuite bathroom...
