"Stayed just for 1 night which was too little time! My wife said it’s very charming and “homey” (I agree), and the host was very nice and friendly. Breakfast included home made bread, crepes fresh jam and cheese. Just remember that it’s a very old building with no elevator filled with quirks and the washroom is a little small but it adds to the place’s wonder. Definitely would stay again!"

"We had a wonderful stay. The property itself is so quaint and charming! The building is quite old but recently remodeled; our rooms were very comfortable. The proprietors were delightful and eager to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We enjoyed two nice dinners during our stay. The weather was pleasant so we were able to dine al-fresco on the terrace. Such a wonderful way to enjoy a pleasant evening with family/friends. We would love to return and stay again at this property!"

"We loved our stay at Effect Lodge. Our room overlooked the back side of the property, including the pool. Great views and an open feel in our large room. The host was so gracious and helpful. She recommended public transportation for our visit to Old Lyon, and it worked out perfectly. She also provided direction in getting our laundry taken care of. In many ways, staying at Effect felt like being at home. Highly recommend this property!"

"Upon arrival, we were told to open the large gates leading up to the driveway of the house. The gates were what I can only describe as something you would see at a 'haunted' house in really poor condition. Our first impressions were not great as the accommodation appeared very old and run down. As we approached the house, the ground were extremely unkempt: overgrown, unclean pool and the tennis court area had seen better days. As we opened the main door, we noticed the wallpaper in the hallway...

"Abgesehen von der Lage (gut mit Auto zu erreichen und Nähe zur Metro) und dem abgeschlossenen Parkplatz ist die Unterkunft leider nicht zu empfehlen. Alles war feucht, In der Dusche lief das Wasser nicht ab, Frühstück selbst für französische Verhältnisse minimal. Check-in sehr umständlich. Für eine Nacht war es gerade noch ok. Wir waren froh, das Zimmer wieder zu verlassen - Schade, wir hatten uns mehr versprochen. Immerhin: Lyon ist einen Zwischenstopp allemal wert."
