"This place was awesome. All of us including the children loved it. House is located in the picturesque countryside in Brittany not far from mount St. Michel. "We stayed here for one night after arriving earlier in Cherbourg. The property was easily found using a sat nav. The owner, Roger, was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable with refreshments available. Having asked prior to our arrival, we had a fantastic 3 course evening meal expertly prepared and presented by his young chef Brenda. Breakfast in the morning was a continental offering with the option of freshly cooked bacon and scrambled eggs. Everything was spot on....

"We spent 3 days in the "cowshed" room at Le Bois Gautier. The accommodation was very spacious with a full kitchen and a large bedroom and bathroom upstairs. We received a warm welcome from the new owner Bill who had prepared a log fire for our arrival, this made the accommodation very cosy and was a great touch. Bill had also brought some snacks/breakfast for us. The place was gorgeous, and very quiet, being in the middle of the countryside. It is located about 30 min drive from the scenic town...

"The only negative aspect about our staying is there’s no wifi and it’s a 30min of walk till the bus parking to reach Mont St+Michel after or 45 of walk till there. The rest is perfect"

"Bought groceries in the am....went out for the day. Came back in the evening to cook dinner. Unfortunately the refrigerator wasn't working. The meats we purchased were warm. We had to eat ramen noodles for dinner. The owner was very responsive and quickly replaced the refrigerator. "
