"The reception staff were amazing - so welcoming and polite. The location was very good in terms of access to the beach but quite a drive to restaurant area. Service at the bar was incredibly slow- over 20 minutes to get a glass of wine despite the fact that there were only two guests at the bar! The bar man was preoccupied chatting to another guest! "We stayed in a self catering apartment which had superb views across the lagoon and to the sea and was operated by the hotel. The reception, bar and gardens were well presented , however, the apartment itself could not be described as 5 star as it was in need of refurbishment. We always assume that 5 star means luxurious, but would suggest that 3 star would be a more suitable classification for the apartment in its current condition.
