"Balsa Surf Camp is like staying with family! It has a wonderful atmosphere, and the location is nice and quiet within a very easy walk to town. For a surfing adventure, everything is at your fingertips and the team are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed the daily yoga, thank you to the wonderful instructor Darcy Lynch. I will visit Montanita again, and I wouldn't think of staying anywhere other than Balsa. "

"The hostel was a cute little spot. We liked that we had our own little balcony with a hammock. We didn't care much for the beach since that was unfortunately dirty, but there were plenty of restaurants to choose from. If you are in Puerto Lopez, I recommend this hostel."

"The location was great, walking distance to main downtown area but far enough to have some peace. The rooms were comfortable although i think a bit overpriced for what you get and compared to other places. I have very little problems with hotels except when they advertise AC and you pay a little bit of a premium in south america to have a room with an AC versus a room with a fan. Unfortunately the AC in our room didnt work it was more of a fan pushing around air. And when we brought this up to...
