"I came for a snowboarding trip to Rusutsu and Youtei 2 was a great place to stay because it’s very close to the gondola, excellent facilities for snowboarders, hot showers, laundry machines, friendly and helpful staff, and very convenient to 7-11. I would recommend anyone going to Rusutsu to stay at Youtei 2. "

"So good, we cancelled a smaller trip up north and extended our stay a couple of days in a different room. Staff is helpful, plenty of dining options, and of course the onsen is awesome. Just be wary of high prices in and around the resort- this is definitely not a budget stay."

"An amazing experience in a traditional Japanese inn! The room was expansive and spacious, and definitely try the onsen, even if it seems intimidating to try as a foreigner. I experienced it in the winter after hiking snow trails, so it really soothes the body! The surrounding resort is beautiful and easy to walk to many hotspots in the area. The non-reservation restaurant on B1F is nice, but their menu is limited in the evening, so plan ahead if you are looking for nighttime dining. "

"Don't worry about the bad reviews. We were a little skeptical, but this hotel has gotten their stuff together and I'm thinking the negative reviews may have been early on in their opening (or just complainers or competitors submitting reviews). My wife and I stayed here for four nights at the end of our trip (stayed in Hirafu for 9 nights prior to this hotel). This place was wonderful. All stays in Niseko are expensive in Winter but this one was one of the more affordable options in any of the four ski areas for two people. And it was perfect! The hotel is very nice and high-end, the staff are friendly and helpful as possible. Harry at the front desk was super helpful scheduling us a ride to a train station when we departed. The breakfast buffet was fantastic and the onsen was clean and has everything you need (indoor bath, outdoor bath, sauna, and cold plunge). The proximity to the lifts gives this hotel everything you need for a nice visit to Niseko. The Hanazono area is definitely the most luxurious and not too busy of lift lines. Highly recommend this hotel. "

"Onsen was heavenly."

"We really enjoyed our 4 day stay at Torifito. We had a double bunk bed room and there was enough space for our snowboard bags and luggage, plus the ski locker room to store our gear. Would recommend the breakfast buffet! Great value and delicious choices for everyone before hitting the ski hill! The onsen was lovely and relaxing and everything felt clean and tidy. We didn’t stay in the pod area but it seemed quiet and tidy when we passed by. Parking right out front and a big grocery store next door. "

"Amazing hot springs and comfortable rooms!"

"This is a beautiful property with lake Toya on one side and Yoteii mountain on the other. The rooms are the largest we have seen in Japan with a beautiful sitting area and large bathroom with a huge tub both overlooking Lake Toya! This made for excellent firework viewing from the room for the local festival. They also had a nice common area in the hotel with some tables, coffee, tea and hot water to use. The location was convenient to drive to Toyaka Onsen town for food, but also to Rusutsu for skiing. "
