"The place was idyllic and peaceful -- just what we were looking for in a quiet holiday family retreat. There was plenty of kitchenware, towels, and linens for us for a few days. Hot tub was excellent and wifi was quick. It snowed about 4-6" over the first day we were there, and our car had trouble cresting the hilly gravel driveway with all the snow. But that's just our car, which doesn't have 4-wheel drive. Would love to see the space in the summer months!"

"Wonderful cottage! Perfect size for 2 to 4, decore and ambiance were calming, bright, cozy, clean, and quiet (it is November). Mattresses were comfortable and the owner even left a pair of slippers should we need them (which I did) as well as some other thoughtful extras in consideration of the area and activities. Would 100% stay here again."

"A returning guest to the Embers Cabin and it did not disappoint. Nice binders filled with information about the area provided by owner. Bed super comfy. All amenities were accurate with online property description. Clean, tidy and peaceful! It was great to unplug and unwind here. Also as a solo traveler, I felt very safe at this location. 10/10 recommend."

"The photos don’t disappoint; it truly was as beautiful as the representation. We had a lovely time. The house was decorated pleasingly but the real gem is the outside space. There are three levels from which to enjoy the views from the back yard and we cherished each. We didn’t eat a single meal inside; it was too picturesque to miss."

"Beautiful house! Close to Black River Marina boat launch. (Marina is closed.) First time on Black Lake, the periphery of the lake is a little more shallow than neighboring lakes, but once we got used to that we fell in love with it. Calm, quiet, good for fishing, big enough for tubing & skiing. Can’t wait to come back!!"
