"Our second stay here. Our first stay was excellent; we had a room at the back. This time our room at the front was quite noisy. Lots of pub restaurant noise, road noise, and the wall between rooms 1 and 2 must be paper thin as we could hear every word of the tv show they watching next door! That said, everything is clean and tidy. The decor is classic country style, bathrooms are perfectly adequate. Staff are welcoming and the breakfast choices are plentiful. "Last minute decision to stay whilst travelling from Devon to Scotland. What a wonderful, welcoming place. Food was fantastic in the pub area. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Highly recommend. Will stay at The Derby Arms again. "

"The staff were great. Had a really good salad. Nice pub and restaurant area But, the room needed a good paint. Shower needs the mould cleaned off to and the worst part was the mattress Thankfully i got an extra duvet to use as a "topper" to try and get a few hours sleep in"

"This is a pub. The rooms are accessed via steep stairs. It is a shared bathroom which is only adequate. The locals in the bar are intimidating unless you like the football crowd type of person. The bar was busy every night with proper drinkers. The smell of cannabis in the outside areas was prevalent. If you like the Tv series ‘shameless’ you would be right at home here. Saying that I would return if I was ever in the area but it’s not for everyone "

"We absolutely loved every single minute of our stay! Our room was immaculate, beautifully decorated, the view was amazing. The bed was one of the best we have slept in. All of the staff and particularly Rosie were just so lovely and friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The food was also amazing, and the outdoor gardens just stunning. We will definitely be back!"
