We cooked all our one week stay and had all we needed. The dishwasher and washing machine added luxuries. Ate most days on the balcony in December. Right in centre of city but on a quiet street so extremely quiet and no sound indoors. There were other people above and below but couldnt hear them in apartment. Superstores for food...

"This is the upper part of the house, Bettina and her family is super nice and friendly, the accommodation is clean and spacious, have a good vibe. Location: nature is just amazing there, one can make a good hike. The center of Sao Vicente is quite far 60 minutes by walk and the road is quite steep. The closest shop is approximately 30 minutes walk. We needed to work there and had issues with the internet connection (it was poor or non-existent), but the family was really friendly and helpful."

"The apartment wasn't as described - it was better! The location was perfect - out of the city, but close enough to get there quick. A large balcony and view to die for, Plus another large balcony and views from the kitchen. It was the most well equipped place I had stayed in ever, complete with a clothesline and pegs to hang washing for longer stays.The apartment was huge and comfortably slept all 3 of my teenage children. I would definitley recommend."
