It was a shortish walk to a button/T-bar lift/bus to gondola - we used hire car to go to car park nearer lifts as too far for children in ski-boots. "Fantastic place to stay! We really felt at home in this chalet and could not have been more impressed with the amenities and the views. We took full advantage of the fireplace, the hot tub, the slide and the outdoor reclining chair. We even spent a rainy day cooking traditional Swiss recipes and playing board games. Otherwise, it'll cost you a considerable amount of money via the Gornergrat Railway (15 USD every time). This adds up quickly if you decide to visit the town (to eat, shop and etc).
