"The property is situated in a lovely, peaceful spot. On Friday night when we arrived, sat having drinks in the garden we were lucky enough to see a mother deer and her fawn skipping up the fields behind us. The house was well equipped and had everything we needed, large spacious bedrooms and a lovely hot tub. We had lunch in the dog and gun pub just up the road and the food was delicious. "Booking and communication good. House nice and as advertised. Good location and easy to find and close to local amenities. Ok for a couple of nights. These are my constructive observations/recommendations: 1. Please supply bath mats in the bathrooms. There was nothing and the floors were soaked after a shower as the shower screen leaked. Also for Health and Safety. 2. Towels are very thin and small. You may need to supplement with your own if you're visiting and this kind of thing bothers...

"Contacted property manager and Vrbo the day before to enquire about accessing the property. Received no response. Called the owner at 9.15 on the day. He sounded confused but raised no issue, so I got on with my day. Received a text after 10.30 to say the property was not available! Apparently vrbo had not coordinated the availability. Host offered to book us into a local hotel…. Not ideal as we could have done that ourselves (and chosen a better hotel) but we had plans with friends and dinner...
