Alaskan Cabin Exceeds Expectations
"Our group of 3 had a great time staying at the Lodge & Alaskan cabin at mile post 28 on the Nabesna Road in Wrangell/St Elias National Park. The owners are great hosts & make sure that you have everything you need. If you need anything, just ask.
The Alaskan cabin was very well designed & built and will comfortably sleep 4. The kitchen is well stocked & has a starter set of everything you’ll need. The pellet heater worked very well & automatically kept the cabin warm.
Since this location uses solar power & wind power, certain concessions such as no hair dryers, no drip coffee makers & no microwave, are required. We found that these “concessions” actually added to the experience, & you get some robust French Press coffee in the process. Plus, the accessible internet has not yet made it all the way to the interior of the park & there is no cell service, so look forward to some exceptional unwired time in a beautiful location. You can purchase a token to access satellite internet, but who wants to do that in these surroundings?
Finally, be sure to take advantage of their food options. We had a dinner & a breakfast there, & it was the best food we had in Alaska. It is served in the refurbished hunting lodge which adds to the experience. Next time we’ll get more meals in the lodge.

Getaway in the Alaskan wilderness
"My boyfriend and I stayed at the Raven cabin for 3 nights and loved our stay. We spent 4 days hiking, driving the Nabesna road, relaxing, and enjoying nature. The cabin is rustic, but very cozy, and the bed was so comfortable. We didn’t have any cell service, but that’s part of why we enjoyed our stay so much. We used the lodge’s internet once to check for any urgent notifications, but otherwise we (and our dog Finn) used the weekend to completely unwind. Do bring bug spray though, the mosquitoes are no joke."
