"This beautiful log cabin is perched in the hills where the deck catches the mountain breezes. Bring binoculars for birdwatching! We lived on that deck! The air conditioning is once for sleeping, and the kitchen is small but functional. The drive up to the cabin from the main house is very steep, but we made it up without 4 wheel drive since I am used to driving up hills in snow and ice! If you are not, rent a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Or take the bus (4) or taxi 14) from Quepos. Sheyla is an amazing host and made sure we were comfortable, including bringing up another pot for the kitchen (I cook a lot when we travel). Plus, she knows several guides in the area if you are interested in tours. We will definitely stay here again!"

"Perfect for those times when you want to be in an exotic location but close enough to Quepos/Manuel Antonio for shopping and activities. The Tarzan Jungle House exceeded my expectations with 2 pools, and tropical vibe in the jungle. "

"Would definitely stay here again. Great layout, great view and overall nice property. Just make sure you have a four-wheel-drive vehicle. Road to the house can’t be a little tricky."

"I stayed here three nights with my family. The grounds are beautiful, the waterslide and zip line were so fun. The pool and everything outside was super amazing. We were close to many activities as well. There were enough beds for us all, six of us total. There is a kitchen and two bathrooms. Only thing to keep in mind is that there is no actual living room and no TV, which we didn't mind but didn't know really in advance. There is also a ping pong table outside which my family loved. Overall, this was a great place to stay!"

"Pay attention to past reviews they provide some great information. You must have a 4 wheel drive, I didn't realize how far in the jungle the property is. And it is a challenging drive.If you have the opportunity arrive in the day light we arrived a night and it was challenge to figure things out, we ended up at someone house and they helped us you need to meet some so they can take you to the house. We did have some challenges with the property but they were resolved, don't hesitate to contact the property manager I worked with Diego. Diego also arranged some adventures for us. The big plus for this property is the fact that it is in the jungle, we spent hours every day just watching the wild life. Monkeys, a sloth that my grandsons named "Sammy" toucans, hawks, iguanas - we saw so much and one night and amazing lightning and thunder storm. It is truly special to be so close the the wildlife. Coffee in the morning with a sloth wine at night with the monkeys, life can't get better. Remember you are on an adventure. "

"Beautiful location on the mountain, overlooking rainforest below and the ocean in far distance. The house is spacious with glass wall floor to ceiling on the side facing the view. There is a wrap-around covered porch on two levels so we enjoyed stepping out even when it was raining. We spent a couple of days just hanging on the property, by the pool and in the house, relaxing. We did not feel getting there was dangerous, but there are some ups and downs and narrow bridges over creeks along the road. We had some heavy rains during our stay but the road was passable shortly afterward (we have not tried driving in heavy rain so cannot comment what that would be like).The house had everything we needed, including laundry detergent and a dish soap. Cooking is no problem as kitchen is equipped. No need to buy salt, there is plenty of it but do bring spices if you need them. I highly recommend getting some fresh chicken at the grocery store in Parrita and cooking it one of these days you plan to eat in. Local chicken is delicious, juicy and full of flavor, best chicken we had in a while, even though it was spiced with just salt and black pepper. When we arrived, we were greeted by the Casa's caretaker, Christian. He lives in a smaller house on the grounds. If you need anything or if anything happens - he is there to help. We thought it added a sense of security since the place is remote. He guided us to the waterfall - the hike is strenuous, but I'd recommend to check it out. "

"I NEVER do any reviews. This was compelling. We had a horrible two night stay. For the entire two days, not a drop of running water!! The host said it could come anytime but he did not know when because it was a ‘water company problem’. He ‘could not do anything about it and “that’s the way it is” he said. There was a hot tub outside, that was thankfully filled. We had to use a bucket to bring water from the Tub to get the toilet flushed. The hot tub had to be connected with an extension wire with an outlet. That allowed the motor to run, but the water never heated. A bunch of electrical outlets were not working. We used the same extension cord by brining it inside the cabin to hook up the laptop etc. The non stick utensils are totally worn out of its non stick surface. "

"This place was truly incredible and exactly what we were looking for. There is a private waterfall and swimming area that you HAVE to take advantage of. In addition to the scenic beauty of the entire property they had a very friendly chocolate lab named Elly who came to our villa every day and sat with us for hours. Our host Markus was wonderful and responsive. We had no problem with the WIFI and streamed Netflix in the evenings before bed. If I could have changed anything in all honestly, I would have liked for there to be an air conditioner in the villa. When we were there, it was in the mid 90's every day and after hiking and excursions it would have been nice to cool the room for relief. With that said I would absolutely stay there again!!!!!"
