"Incredibly remote and rural location with the best located pool I've experienced! (light salt water too which was lovely) Very helpful and pleasant owners (Francoise & Giacomo) who also left us in private. We were looking for a few tranquil and relaxing days with access to coast/towns and mountains during the day - this surpassed our expectations! very ecological with solar power etc. Tip; take a swim or sit by the pool after dark, the sky at night is breathtaking - highly recommended."

"The house is beautiful and very much lives up to expectations. I do not know exactly how old it is, but every beam and wall whispers history. Extremely comfortable with all the things you could possibly want provided. The view from the terrace is breathtaking and the locations is quiet, but accessible to shops, attractions and main roads. "L'annee passee on y est alle pour la première fois. (voir notre commentaire de ce temps la). Alors, cette annee pour la deuxieme fois... Et on connait des gens qui sont y alles pour la 10e fois! Et pourquoi? Michelin donne des etoiles aux restaurants, 1, 2, ou 3 etoiles, ou -tant mieux- des BIB-gourmands. Mais chez Mado&Jean-Louis c'est comme un ciel etoile!! Magnifique, a tous les egards. "Nous avons loué ce gîte pour un weekend entre amis (2 couples et un bébés). Le gîte est calme et assez proche de Quillan et Esperaza où nous sommes allés voir les marchés. Le gérant était disponible pour répondre à nos questions. L'environnement est très paisible, les paysages de la région très suggestifs."

No grill, no toaster, coffee machine was there but there was moldy coffee left in it. Walls had been repaired in a really poor way in places and the equipment was old and not clean. "Not a great experience. They never replied to my emails asking about facilities. Confirmation and T&C's only sent to me on day of arrival. It only took 5 hours for someone to give us a key to get in. Oh and don't forget to take your own cups and glasses to make up for what's missing. It's a great shame as if some effort was made it would be a great base for a cheap getaway. "
