"Our stay at the hotel was fantastic. The staff was amazing, and the food, more so. During our six night stay, we had diner at the hotel four times, and they were our best meals by far. There is ocean views from almost every room and the hotel is very quiet. Parking is easy and the location is close to many restaurants, museums and a grocery store if you need anything. The pools and the spa are well designed and they are the perfect place to relax after a day exploring the island. The ocean is a two minute walk from the hotel and there is a nice beach with great waves for surfing. The only things negative worth nothing are the design of the washrooms in the rooms where the walls are made of glass panels - some translucid and others tainted. This is not great for intimacy in the shower or on the toilet! Only a mechanized curtain outside the washroom prevents you from looking in. The second thing is the air gaps on the door that leads to the terrace. It was super windy while we were there so there was often a whistling sound of air passing through the door. Appart from these minor details, this place is well worth staying at."

"We are a family of 2 grandparents (mid 60's), parents (early 30's), and our grandson (1yo). Case da Suta was the perfect accommodation! - roomy, clean, modern, quiet, scenic view of the Atlantic. Because of our overnight flight, we rented Casa da Susa for an extra night and checked-in early morning. The property manager accommodated our request to check-in at 9:00am and Joao greeted us upon our arrival. Joao thoroughly explained all the features of the house. The kitchen is very well equipped although we could have used a few more tea towels. A crib and highchair were also provided. We also appreciated the quiet non-urban location. When we return to The Azores, we will consider renting Casa Da Susa again.Just a word of Caution, LOCK YOUR CAR! We made the mistake of leaving our unlocked car for 15 minutes, and returned to discover our luggage was missing."

"We had a lovely stay, it was nice to chat with the other guests and the owner as well as the lovely Armindo and Angelica. Many thanks for your hospitality and for getting up earlier to make us breakfast before the usual hours. "

"The quality and size of the “apartments” (they’re basically houses, it’s great) is phenomenal for the price. To have a private back deck, many air conditioners, a kitchen, a nice bathroom, FOUR sets of sliding doors.. it was great. Friendly cats run the grounds, par for the course in Europe. Parking is a little tight and it’s in a quaint area of the island but those very small “negatives” are so heavily outweighed by the friendliness of staff, 24 hour pool and big clean rooms that it’s barely worth mentioning. I’d recommend this place to anybody. My one real and only gripe is to access the property the first time it’s a hassle. It’s a private gate and everyone gets a remote, but when you’re first arriving you need to call. It’s not well labelled where you need to go either. Besides that it’s perfect. We will be returning."

"The house was specious clean and beautiful.The host Carlies was beyond amazing he was there to answer questions and provide tips and suggestions about attractions where to eat and what to do all the time. We truly appreciate all his help. Location was the best! I highly recommend this property and hope to come back and stay there "
