"I think this hotel is one of the best on island. From first minute (arrive at 7:00 am) staff was very helpful and accommodating. Diego made coffee for us and gave printed guide for island. They make early check in and late check out for us without any problem. View of ocean is amazing. Easy access to ocean (I would not swim there, too dangerous). You have to have a car to go around. Beach is close. Everything is close if you have a car. Driving in small towns is a nightmare. Roads too narrow....

"This hotel is an amazing place with a world class Botanical Garden attached and beautiful thermal baths throughout, guests have 24 hour access to both. They have an indoor pool steam and dry sauna. The staff is very well trained and for the most part local. Everything for the client! The restaurant is 4 star and the breakfast extensive and delicious. We came to have lunch 6 months ago and vowed to come stay the next time we flew to Portugal. Well worth the trip and it will not be our last. "

" Stunning location high overlooking the Atlantic with stairs down to the beach. Immaculate property, attentive service and excellent food. We ate all breakfasts and 2 of 3 dinners on property. "We stayed here for 10 nights. Not having one big bed instead of 2 twin beds was not at all convenient for us. There was a very small bar fridge with limited space, no coffee maker, no microwave which we missed for the length of our stay.
