"Friendly staff on front desk willing to accommodate our requests, room clean but basic is an understatement, I know it is a budget hotel but at least heating (we had a tiny oil radiator in the room that didn’t heat it) luckily we had blankets in the car!! And no kettle or tea and coffee in the room had to pay extra at the desk when checking in"

"Obviously, as property is being renovated it means outside of building looks like a bit of a building site. But the renovated rooms and the public areas were lovely, and the staff great. Free parking and coffee as compensation is a thoughtful gesture. Would definitely stay here again."

"Lovely stay. There were a few little details that didn't spoil our stay but were noticeable like minor repairs needed, soap empty in bathroom and not all pre-ordered items were made available. Would still recommend for a good value stay. Lots of places to eat and drink in area so we didn't try bar/restaurant. "

"The hotel is very well situated. Surprisingly really quiet. The room was comfortable. The shower was great. The lift is old fashioned and pretty funky. A great experience. All staff members are very pleasant. "

The room was very clean & the bed was very comfortable, we had a spa treatment each too which was amazing but we did have a minor discrepancy regarding payment which was soon rectified & spa facilities excellent. Overall our stay here was very nice & would definitely stay here again in the future."

"This is our second stay at the Marwell Hotel Winchester. Even with a wedding in the main building, there was no noise in the rooms - superb planning :-) a 10 minute drive into Winchester, plenty of parking without any issues, a lovely pool for a morning swim. Friendly helpful staff. "
