"We had a great experience at Lanzarote Barcelo Active Resort. Lots of fun activities for the kids. Close to airport and beaches. Big rooms. Good food options in buffet. Would have liked more vegetarian main course options. One suggestion to have separation between vegetarian and non-vegetarian to avoid cross contamination. Lanzarote is a beautiful island to visit. Definitely recommend."

"We stayed during Christmas period and really appreciate the hard work of all staff at reception, restaurant etc to provide normal desk service, cleaning of our room, pool, and various kind of activities. Our door lock is also quickly repaired. They are very professional and friendly. It makes our holiday a pleasant stay. "The grounds were lovely. The apartment was clean and well equipped. We used the indoor pool which was nice but needed a little maintenance here and there. Overall a good experience apart from noisy neighbours."

"Great hotel but they need to look at the small details to be an exceptional hotel. We had problems with sliding wardrobe doors not working, body lotion dispenser not working, tea and coffee drawer jammed amd hotel bar light flickering , which as was explained to staff could cause an epileptic fit in someone. Choice of food was excellent in both royal level and standard although sometimes the temperature of food was lukewarm. The quality of room in royal level is excellent bar the snags. Public...

"Superb escape for some Easter sun. The only negative is they need to enforce the 1 hour sunbed reservation rule. Too many people take advantage and turn it into a towels-on-sunbed race in the morning, which really spoils the whole experience."

"Even though it's a large hotel, you feel like you have the place to yourself based on the design. The pool and all the public spaces are vast, so you feel some exclusivity without the price-tag of an exclusive resort."
