"I love boutique hotels and Leyenda is no exception. The grounds are quite beautiful. They greeted us with a welcome drink! We stayed for 3 nights total, family of 5. We had the superior 2 bedroom and the room was good but we did add an extra room after our first night for more space and another bathroom (my fault for thinking the 3 beds/1 bath would be sufficient with two teens). We enjoyed the big pool! Wished it was a bit cooler to be a refresh from the heat, or that a part of the pool had some shade (never thought I’d say that!) We ate 3 dinners here and each dinner was AMAZING! I can not recommend their dinners enough. Warning: the portions are HUGE and very shareable. Unfortunately, the complimentary breakfast buffet was not as good as their dinner. However, the made to order cappuccinos were lovely. We took the shuttle to the beach one day and I highly recommend Playa Carillo as it was the best beach we visited in Costa Rica. Just stunning! The next day we drove our rental car to the beach and back. Overall, I would return here again. For the price, the location and amenities are a great deal. PS. The Asiatic restaurant is not open, which we were looking forward to. Luckily that main restaurant had a large variety and incredible food."

"Excellent and relaxing. If you like an authentic, quiet and quaint secluded beach resort vacation in Costa Rica, feeling as if you owned a piece of Costa Rica all to your self, this resort would not disappoint you. Very close to the town to where you can walk thru the beach which takes only 15 mins. There is an excursion desk that helps organize daily activities for staying guests. We took the 3 hours horse ride and a separate coffee tour on alternative days during our stay, which are very enjoyable. The food and service at the resort are also nice. "

"Our extended family had the pleasure of staying at Villa Amore in mid-March as the second half of our family trip to Costa Rica. This was a perfect getaway spot for us with everything we could ask for and more. The place was spotless, the pool was well maintained and the view and ocean breezes couldn’t be beat. We loved the space in the bedrooms for all our luggage and as four separate families with children it was the perfect setup for sleeping. And then there was Alex and Jenny, they were so warm, welcoming and accommodating to our group. We all very much enjoyed their fabulous cooking and the break it gave us from making our own breakfast and dinners was a priceless luxury! We will be recommending this place to other friends and family. "

"This was a beautiful beach house, secluded from any tourist town. You will have about a 40 minute dirt road drive from the main road to the house. The house is a perfect place to let you kids swim in the pool and play in the ocean/sand. The outside kitchen had plenty of room to"

"This is our second time staying at Diego’s house. He is very easy to communicate with, got back to us very quickly, and always had suggestions and advice. The caretaker, Lisbeth, was very friendly and helped us out throughout our stay. The house is beautiful and the location is wonderful. You are in the middle of nature, with scenic views, animal watching and critters around! We loved it!"
