"It is a true rare gem. A wonderful lodge in the middle of the jungle. Our villa was spacious. It has two huge rooms and a giant porch where we saw monkeys. I was grilling to the sound of howler monkeys. The owners are a young Danish couple who are welcoming and helpful. They are building a big pool which is going to be ready in the next few weeks. "The Casita is well-equipped with whatever you would need for a visit down to Carate. You might see more wildlife from this Casita than you would visiting Corcovado. There was a hummingbird nest steps from the house and Tapir prints all around the back door. Perfect for a couple or a small family. "We rented this in June 2023. I don’t think it had been rented much because it had very little wear and tear. I didn’t realize how beautiful the property really would be. The description just does not do it justice. The monkeys came right to the camp several times. The birds were everywhere. Golifito bay is right there. I really loved this place. The fans keep you pretty cool at night and we would all just take a cool outdoor shower before bed and slept well. I would definitely recommend this...

" My wife and I had been traveling for weeks. We stopped at this cabin just outside the town of Puerto Jimenez looking for a peaceful change of pace from some hectic and overly commercial hotels. We were delighted to find true Costa Rican hospitality and beautiful scenery that felt like a spiritual awakening. Last month we dealt with "congestion pricing" in NYC, but here it was like an emotional cleansing. We encountered a local couple whose family have been farming the land for generations....

"We really enjoyed staying in the jungle and being so close to nature. And it stretched out comfort zone in a good, adventurous way. We experienced the beginning of a possible transition in management but Michael handled it with pura vida. And gracias a Dios, everything worked out in our favor. We recommend it for anyone wanting to get close and comfortable with being in the jungle. :)"
