"A very loud fire alarm went off at 4am and went on for quite a while. I was already running on the stairs when it stopped. Goodbye sleep. The following morning I was expecting some apologies but no. When I mentioned it, the guy at the reception very cheerfully said "Oh, that. Yes, there was no fire, it was just a coffee machine. But so we know that the alarm works!" Which is Mecklenburg-Vorpommern idea of sense of humour, maybe."

"Perfect for staying by the Inselsee for a couple of days. Beautiful location by the lake. Maybe better to come with a car, but 15 min walk there are occasional buses to train station also. Bike rental nearby. Service superb and friendly. Nice buffet breakfast. With such bargain price really worth to go for. "

"Wir waren nur zur Durchreise hier – leider muss man muss sagen. Absolute Herzlichkeit vom Personal, insbesondere beim Frühstück gegenüber uns und unserem Baby. Die Gegend ist wunderschön. "We had a great time at Idyll am See. The communication with the Bersa family was easy and fast and the accommodation looks exactly like on the pictures. It is very clean, cosy, and so quiet. Ideal to relax! We would absolutely recommend to stay there."

"We have stayed in Gustrow many times over the years and usually choose another hotel, just out of the centre. This is a small hotel with small rooms. The Reception staff was very good and very friendly. The room was very small and the bathroom was even smaller. The bed was very hard, but the mattress was of good quality. The breakfast was not great. Limited hot food and not replenished very often. Personally, I would choose another hotel as this one did not offer the same quality of room or...

"Wir haben hier ein wunderschönes verlängertes Wochenende verbracht. Ein sehr schönes, ruhig gelegenes Ferienhaus. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Unternehmungen in der Umgebung, aber auch die Ostsee ist gut erreichbar. Im Haus ist alles ordentlich und gepflegt. Es bleiben keine Wünsche offen. Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett und gibt gerne Tipps zu Ausflügen. Wir kommen sicher mal wieder, dann gerne länger."
