"Staff great, room nice with welcoming bottle of wine, walk right down to the beach with private access. Parking available but if no room showed us where to park one street over and safe. Clean place. Breakfast area very clean. Best buffet breakfast I have seen since living in the Middle East, everything fresh from fruit, cured meats, yogurt, beautiful local pastries and breads, variety of nuts cooked oatmeal- could not fault this place. Even had a gentleman playing piano during breakfast - not for everyone but we enjoyed it."

"The hotel was clean and comfortable. Our bed was very comfortable. All the staff were very friendly. The location and views are great. Breakfast and the occasional buffet was fresh and good. Minor comments being picky would be the heated pool could be warmer and also the hydrotherapy pool was cold. "

"The preservation of the original home and its fine architecture, Brazilian wood, and gorgeous hand painted tiles was meticulous and made for a very special stay. We really enjoyed the incredible presentation of our salt crusted sea bass at dinner. The service and food were top notch. We were also delighted with our gracious room upgrade, bottle of champagne upon arrival. Delightful property!"

"The apartment is close to Tres Castelos beach and some very good restaurants. Very good value for money, as we stayed for a month. The lifts were always working and reliable. There is a concierge in the building for any emergencies. The apartment is well equipped for cooking and has a washing machine so we had a mixture of eating in and going to restaurants. There is a bus route fairly near but we used local taxis to get to bus and train stations and taxis are good value. The bath and shower of the apartment need updating. The bath is very slow to fill and shower needs better high attachment. Good value, older apartment close to beach with very good walks nearby."
