"Overall infrastructure is of great quality but has too little use and it shows. All accommodations are well fitted with equipment but sometimes equipment malfunctions, for instance, our room tv never worked and could not be fixed, our refrigerator stopped working one day but was quickly fixed. At our arrival they had no notice of reservation and it took some waiting until everything was cleared. "The house was location in a safe area with walk out to the beach as advertised . The design and quality material of the house is great. However, water leaked into first floor bedroom when it rained. There was pealing of plaster on the lanai. The family room had connections for TV and other devises , but there was no TV. The TV in the bunk room was broken.The staff were attentive and the food was prepared to our request every day. None of the staff spoke English"

"My wife, our two friends and I had a great time at El Portillo in Las Terrenas. The apartment was spacious and well equipped, plenty of room to hang out together and separately. The Beach Club on the property was fantastic, huge pool with excellent service and great food. We came from staying a few days at an all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana, and the food and drink at the beach club were better than at the resort.
