"This is a Marston's Pub/Diner with a separate accommodation block. It's a bit out of the centre of Aberystwyth but has plenty of onsite parking. The rooms are basic but comfortable. The "Pub" is really a restaurant, often with no seating to just have a drink. If you want an evening meal there, book it. Food is standard pub fare, but the Staff, who double as Reception and Bar Staff were very good."

"We had an absolutely lovely weekend staying at The Royal Oak. The location was perfect for a relaxing weekend away. The scenery was breathtaking and we had a lovely view from our room. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. This is a traditional pub, very cosy and again nicely decorated but retaining its traditional charm. The landlord and landlady were extremely helpful. Above all, this is dog friendly accommodation, a must for us. We would definitely stay here again. "

"Good acomodation booked in with the new property owner Kurt, we were the second transaction made on his hotel account, chap by the bar beat us to no 1 position by a matter of minutes, Kurt had recently bought the Castle Hotel friday the 1st of September was his first day so basically hit the road running! He explained theres going to be big changes / improvements over the coming months so watch the space, as a New Zealander the bar area is going to be a sport bar area with some great rugby...
