"Came a bit early but could check in early. Room was perfect , and had a sea view.. Breakfast was very good.. Evenings after 22.00 were quiet although dogs nearby started their 'orchestra' every evening around 17.00. Staff were excellent and extremely helpful especially the receptionists. They even arranged a lovely lunch packet as we had a very early flight back. This was a cozy down to earth hotel."

"We chose this property for it's location and it was perfect for being in the heart of the old city and close to what we wanted to do / see for our short stay in Funchal. We arrived on a late flight and reached the hotel about 1am (took the Aerobus for 5e it worked great). The man at the hotel reception was wonderful - kind and generous. The room was clean and basic. It's recently renovated / updated. Our only complaint is the area has several Poncha bars and it appears they are open all...

"We stayed for 8 nights and loved the accommodation. The staff were always very friendly and helpful. We loved the jacuzzi and the parking facilities. We will come back whenever we can. Thank you very much Santana in nature B&B"

"Cute houses with a wonderful garden! The house is quite dark and humid, hence humidifier is always on; also requires some renovation. Basic breakfast though served nicely. Did not have much interaction with the host. "

Great sunset view from our room although up 3 flights of steps - this property could be difficult if you have mobility issues. Very good breakfast buffet and there is also a cocktail bar which also serves pool snacks (we were cooked for on our first night as well - friendly staff made it clear they would try and meet such requests where reasonably possible). "We came in late late late and were able to just zip over from the airport in a matter of minutes. There was parking super close by and it was so easy to get into the place even though it was around 12:30 a.m. It was a tiny room but it was the perfect size to just watch a little internet tv, fall asleep and wake up to the sun shining off the quaint streets and beautiful waterfront. The shower was great. There was a coffee machine and, even better, a coffee shop almost directly across the street....

"During mine stay in Madeira I had a little cange in plans and so I looked for a place to stay just 3 days before the reservations. Considering it was August the price was really good, the staff immediatly put me in a Whatsapp group where different person of the staff wrote everything I need to know about payments, times and mods of check-in and check-out and they where responsive at any time for any question."

"Very nice house with fantastic views and well equipped"

"The house is beautiful. The pool area is an amazing place to take in the views, sunsets and relax. The directions and accompanying literature provided by the host are very informative and answered all of our questions about using the house amenities. Highly recommend taking advantage of the bakery delivery truck that drives past every morning at ~9:15. There is a nespresso machine and drip/filter coffee maker for caffeine needs. If we’re ever back in Madeira, we will hope to stay here again....

"From beginning to the end of our month long stay we thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The location is excellent surrounded by banana plantations which are situated on the mountain side, the views are beautiful, don’t forget your walking boots there are some excellent walks with breath taking views, we particularly enjoyed walking the Levadas, we would recommend you get the “walk me” app, it will cost £4.99 for the full maps, but well worth it! "We very much enjoyed our stay here. It was only a 10 minute walk to the marina. We found the breakfast to be especially delicious with plenty of choices. The coffee was fabulous . Staff are very attentive, friendly, and helpful."

"The hotel is above a shopping centre without any grounds around the hotel, however, it is in an excellent location within easy walking distance to the old town. All the staff were very helpful throughout our stay. The bedroom was sleek and modern with an ‘open plan’ shower/wash area. The beds were very comfortable with 3 different pillows varying from soft to firm. There are no views other than from the rooftop swimming pool and bar area but this didn’t significantly detract from the stay as we were out most of the time. The breakfast buffet was excellent with good quality ingredients and freshly squeezed orange juice. We were also amused by the mobile robot which took the dirty dishes back to the kitchen. Overall the hotel lives up to it’s 5 star billing, is excellent value for money and I would highly recommend a stay at the Vine the next time you are in Funchal."

"The breakfast was fresh, with a variety of choice. The bedroom was nice clean and spacious with a view that was amazing to watch the sunrise each morning from the balcony. The facilities were good, the bus services 155 into town always punctual and again the journey to Funchal had amazing ocean and hilltop views, with winding roads offering a nice sceneric veiws. I enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend."
