"Hotels near train stations are not always ok. This one was great! It was updated, bathroom and cooking area functional, equipped and clean and the hotel staff was exceptional. The hotel is actually a short walk from Gare de Lyon but there is a shortcut behind the station (where the coach busses park) that leads to the street where you can find the hotel. I had a large suitcase a satchel and it was not a difficult walk. To make things more interesting, there is an authentic "hot pot" resto...

"Good location in close-in suburb with metro station less than a block away, and grocery stores and restaurants in the neighborhood. Fairly spacious room by Paris standards. Kitchenette was a plus, but no dishwasher and the utensils etc. were a bit difficult to access. We were told we would get a VIP bonus (free breakfast) but hotel did not have that in their records. It was resolved with excellent and polite help from the front desk. Breakfast was acceptable without being exceptional. ...

"Excellent staff, supermarket and Metro next door. Housekeeping a bit haphazard. Bin from previous occupants not emptied. Chipped bathroom sink, with hair in it. Policy is not to supply plug for kitchen sink! This is bizarre. Despite these niggles, I recommend this property. "

Overall, the stay was really good value and I can honestly recommend this to anyone staying in Paris for a week or more especially if they have children. I stayed for 12 nights with my teenage daughter and we were very satisfied by hotel facilities, proximity to transport and local stores and restaurants, and the neighborhood. "Even though the restaurant and bar was closed during the weekend we had local bars and restaurants within a 5 minute walking distance that were friendly and did great food. When going back to Paris, this will be our go to hotel. The room was clean and very comfortable and the staff very pleasant although we didn't have to interact with them much. Hotel is close to all transport links so it was really to get to the city centre very easily. We had a great time."
