"Lake House 74 exceeded our expectations! We were a group of 6 - 2 couples with our adult children. The location of the house was perfect - just outside of Leiden, situated along a canal. The house had everything we needed for our stay. Stephan was easy to contact, very responsive to all of our requests, and made us feel at home. He also had great suggestions for local activities. Be sure to rent a boat and drive through the canals to get to the center of Leiden. I would stay here again...

"We loved our stay here- accodomations were perfect for 9 people, location was great to do days trips around the Netherlands but then come back to the peacefulness of the farm. Watching the cows walk back and forth to the barn was a highlight of our stay. Marga was very gracious and provided any assistance we asked for."

"From the booking process throughout our stay Kim was wonderful and very quick to respond to any questions. The home was beautiful, clean, quiet, and spacious. The only small complaint we had about our stay, and this had nothing to do with the home, is that all but two restaurants in town require reservations. Made it slightly difficult to find a meal after returning from our daily activities at unscheduled times. Again, not on the host, more a comment about the area in general!"

"We had a really relaxing time here. The cottage is small but that suited us, and the view across the fields filled with all kind of wildlife was superb (not forgetting the chickens next to us and the three walking ducks!). And the huge windmill next to the canal is something to behold. Hans, the host, was really welcoming and helpful and if you want to lean more about the windmill then Google 'Vrouwgeest windmill' and learn how it has been in his family since 1797.
