"Lift wasn’t working for 3 days of our stay. The bathroom sink was not cleaned as is was mouldy. Reasonable location as you can walk to the beach."

"This hotel also has long term guests because it is awesome. The owner / manager is always trying extra miles to help every guest, treat them like a family. My late checking in, my transport and my last day checking out has never been so looked after. The value is far beyond what’s been paid for. I have a kitchen, big fridge, balcony to hang clothes, closet to keep my stuff, a safe and much more. Would highly recommend. "

"I would not recommend anyone because the room Hibiscus No 15 and 11 were terrible poorly maintained there were lizards everywhere and mosquitoes. We asked for a mosquito diffuser and the receptionist told us they would send one which was in vain as nobody came along. The bedsheet was torn very old and most of all we all didn’t sleep as the bed was not comfortable one could feel the wire spring on our back. "The apartment is not part of Ocean Villas Hotel and is owned by someone else. On arrival we found our apartment by speaking to the reception at Ocean Villas as there was no one to great us and advise us how payment was to be made. The key was left outside our apartment. This place is as good as a 5 Star hotel! "Great property at a good location! Big apartment that was clean and well taken care of with access to shared pool and lounge facilities, along with private entry into the ocean. Staff were very helpful when needed. Wi-Fi was not the strongest if more than 1-2 people using it. Overall would recommend and would come back!"

"Perfect spot for an active retired couple. We spent a week in apt during our month touring Mauritius, Rodrigues and La Reunion. For this stay we didn’t have a car and used the local buses to get to Grand Bay and Port Louis and walked along the coast in both directions. Our daily house keeper Rka was lovely. "Everything was perfect except miss sheetal at the reception lacks customer service skills. I was a resident of the hotel for 2 nights and on my last night at the hotel my elderly parents who cannot walk comfortably, i decided to accompany them to their room. She told me not to accompany my parents because its the company policy that strangers do not need to have access to other client’s room. My mom told her both are my daughters are residing in the hotel even that she insisted not to accompany my parents whereas it didnt create any problem when my sister checked in on the same day and i accompanied her. Also, my parents could have been given a ground floor room instead of a first floor room. But overall our stay was a nice experience."

"Our stay at Belle Mare Plage was nothing short of exceptional! The resort's scenic surroundings made for some unforgettable memories, whether we were exploring the area, lounging by the pool, or enjoying the activities on offer. Every detail seemed thoughtfully curated to ensure our comfort. Special thanks to the extremely helpful and friendly staff at the AR Bars, La Citronelle Lakaz Indigo beach restaurant deer hunter receptions, boat house staff and the ski team !! It's a place we would gladly return to and highly recommend. "

"This hotel is a little gem on the west coast of Mauritius. All the staff on reception, in the restaurant, in housekeeping and all other staff were always welcoming, friendly and happy to assist you and give you information about the area. Recommend hiring a car which allows you to explore the area. We drove down to the Black River gorge which was amazing, definitely recommend a visit there. The hotel have details of a great company that delivers & collects the car for you. If you are looking for a small friendly hotel in a peaceful location, with a lovely restaurant overlooking the sea, I would thoroughly recommend the Voile Bleue. "
