"The owner seemed to have concentrated on remodeling the inside and haven't completed the outside. This property is not safe for kids as the stair railing posts are too wide apart where a child could fall from the upstairs to the tile floor below. Many kitchen features did not work: oven, dishwasher, built-in ice maker, trash compactor. Wine cooler was frozen up with temperature set too low. "This nice property is clean, comfortable, and in a good location. Our family got together for the Lamar University Homecoming Game and a birthday celebration. The house fit our group perfectly, and we all had an enjoyable weekend. The host was easy to communicate with and very helpful. We hope to stay here again!"

"We had a great stay at Captain's Cabin. We were looking for a place on Sabine Lake that had great access to our favorite fishing spots and Captain's Cabin suited our needs perfectly. The house and yard were very clean and well appointed. There was ample room for parking and the area is safe and extremely quiet. David, the property owner ,was extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend Captain's Cabin to anyone. "
