"The place felt safe, staff were friendly and the room was very clean, properly equiped. Only negatives were the loud noises coming from the highway right in front and the fact that nothing is really walkable from there, you have to have a car or call a taxi. But for a night just before going to the airport it was great!"

"Great property in a prime location! Food, beach, and vibes. All the restaurants Susan suggested to us didn’t disappoint. We would stay here again if we happen to visit the Guacanaste region sometime in the future and if you happen to stay at this facility, make sure you visit Playa Penca, it’s beautiful "

"Hotel is well maintained. Rooms are so small that there is no room for your luggage or chair to sit in. They post that the room will sleep four. No way. These are full size beds because two queen size beds would leave even less room. They gave us two rooms overlooking the busy road all the while we were the only guest. The motorcycles without mufflers were the worst. Why they chose to not but us in quieter rooms that were available is reason enough for me to not recommend staying here."

"Casa Mapache is a lovely place managed by lovely people. The spacious, clean room had a king size bed and two twin beds, which was perfect for our family of four with two "tween" boys who don't want to share a bed if they don't have to!
