"I was surprised with the retainer fee, but I guess it is the new norm in hotel booking. I am still waiting for the return of that fee. The spa facilities were good so as the Table d’Hôte meal. The fireplace ambiance was fantastic. My daughters soup was clod so as was her tea. Both had to be reheated. We did give a generous tip because the poor waiter was alone serving many tables. "

"What a fantastic stay. I was concerned we were going to be late for check in and the attendant answering the phone assured me that even though we were going to be a few minutes late that the restaurant was open and there would be someone there. We arrived, were treated like family and invited to eat at the restaurant (which is an absolute gemstone and was chock full of guests so we knew it was going to be good). The meal was amazing. We will be back if we are in the area again!"
