"For reference we stayed in Atenas Costa Rica April 14th through April 19th. The house is gorgeous, and the view from the backyard is stunning. On two separate occasions toucans came to the tree in the backyard to feed on the berries. We also had 6 head of cows/ bulls wander up one morning while we enjoyed coffee on the back porch. Has everything you need with a convenient store and local restaurant just a couple minutes walk down the street, Poas Volcano/park nearby and the town of Poas 10 minute drive away (huge restaurant selection, gas stations, supermarket etc.). Can get windy as it's up on a hill so bring ear plugs or white noise app if you're a light sleeper "

"Beautiful house, nice management, but the house is low maintenance. One of the bedrooms had ants which were not only on the floor, wall, but even in beds! For the 4 nights of our stay the management couldn’t make something treatable to kill insects. My kids should sleep 4 nights with ants, and one night my son was bitten until we figured what’s going on. Pool is big, but water is not filtered. No family games, no pool towels, no washer/dryer in the house. A lot of mosquitoes, we couldn’t use...
