"Friendly and helpful host greeted us on arrival - we appreciated being able to check-in early. Room was very clean and in very good condition. We had a fridge in which to put a few perishable items we had, plus a kettle, tea, coffee and some milk pods. There's a microwave but no toaster or crockery or cutlery - limiting your breakfast options - or you eat out Spacious and spotlessly clean shower and toilet room. The bed was a good size but a bit too firm for our liking - may well suit...

"Sadly we didnt stay longer, arriving fairly late and catching the early morning ferry. However, its an interesting, slightly quirky, warm and hospitable place, and we'd recommend it. Its also in sight of and a short walk or drive of the ferry terminal."

"The property setting is incredible! Really hard to beat. Individual patios lead to waterfront where boats are moored. Hills beyond with easily reachable moderate hike of Snout's Track. Park at the Snout's Track Carpark and walk 40 mins to Queen Charlotte View. Modern rooms. Laundry very convenient. Owner Rachel is very helpful and upbeat! Town less than 5 mins drive."

"Wonderful stay with our hosts who did more than was expected. Nothing was a problem. They even met us at the train station with our luggage so we would not have to walk back from town. What a treat breakfast was. I would book again in a heartbeat. "

Dislike: Thought we booked en suite but only a double was allocated. The advertised free shuttle to ferry was not available and hasn’t been for years. Spa out of order. Kitchen was filthy - sticky floors and not enough tea towels so the three or so were soaking wet. Hardly hygienic. Very little space in fridge and no freezer. No...
