"We enjoyed our stay at this lovely family bach in Ngakuta bay. Location was great, right on the water, Ngakuta loop trail, and the link trail. We enjoyed the toys and game room. This is a classic kiwi bach and you need to bring your own sheets and towels. We did not hear back when we inquired about the possibility of renting linens. The property is what we expected from a kiwi back and we really enjoyed our stay. "

"We flew over from Australia for a weekend in Kaikoura, fishing and diving The house was awesome, we could walk out the back and down to the beach for a cold plunge in the ocean to wake up, the house was spacious and had us entertained with games by night.we also enjoyed the fire place of an evening, the view of the ocean was a treat with dolphins and fish jumping all day "

"A great place to stay for a couple... and, in our case, two small dogs. Everything you need, although no freezer or laundry facility. The fridge is a wine fridge but it's huge and was plenty big enough for our needs. Tons of room, excellent bathroom, comfortable bed, wifi, large tv. Easy access to Havelock and Queen Charlotte Sound, Blenheim, Picton, and Rapara Beach (no good for swimming but awesome ruggedness), plus heaps of wineries to explore."

"It was our first time staying at Hanmer Springs and Daniel's home was the perfect spot to roost. It was near the walking trails and a short drive or a very nice leisurely long walk into town. We loved the fireplace and the views. Overall, it was a cozy, comfortable stay. Thank you for sharing your home!"

"The property was very comfortable and generally met our needs. The shower was a little cramped and shower head kept flipping down. We weren't able to tighten the fitting. The narrow drive and tight turning circle into carport necessitated backing in or out for larger vehicle."

"The accommodations were wonderful, spacious and beautifully maintained. The location was great with plenty of activities in the village and surrounds. Jane, the host was responsive to our questions and gave us great information for things to do and see."

"This was by far the most neglected and dirtiest property we ever rented as a holiday accommodation. The carpet was full of hair, the entrance area had lot's of spider webs. Dishes and cutlery had to be washed before we could use them. Totally unacceptable."
