"What an absolute pleasure it was to stay at 5 Vintage Guest House. From the warm reception and orientation tour to the charming decor. This place makes you feel at home. The helpfulness of each and every staff member I encountered was outstanding. The quaint atmosphere, especially the shared communal kitchen with complimentary snacks and coffee and tea makes you feel like your coming home to grandmas house. I can’t praise the cleanliness of the entire establishment especially the rooms enough....

"Second time I have stayed here. Different room both times. Its simple, very basic, but has everything you need. Remember this place is super cheap for a capital city and that's what you get, cheap reasonable accommodation. Yes the bathroom is separate but private nevertheless. Please don't expect ANY glamour. Yes it could do with a huge makeover."

"Please do not stay here when you arrive Sofia at night. You will not find it and if find it there is nó reception welcome you. Room is very basic. Toilette smelled bad and not have a really shower. Except private room, hostels may be much better and cheaper. Far away from center and not easy get to by public transportation. Communication is difficult. Please do not stay here if you are looking for cheap hotel. Overall is bad so it is expensive for everything ."

"The price is almost amazing, very clean, prepped meaning hot water was turned on and the AC was on and set to 23 just about perfect. I love the self check in to me this is first class. You have to book online and at the date you receive the instruction. I will be coming back. "

"Clean, comfortable rooms in the center of Sofia. Radoslav and Nikoleta are excellent hosts and offer a good range of wider services. I plan to stay again on my return to Sofia."

"Stay here at your own risk. Tried to arrange pickup of keys 24 hrs in advance as directed in the booking info. Called the number provided numerous times the day prior but no answer, ever. Expedia tried to call, again no answer. Sent chat messages via Expedia app to hotel, no response. Landed in Sofia, again called hotel, no answer. Went to Penthouse Suites at 2 pm check in time, no one there. Stood with our luggage in the street. We had to book and pay for new accommodations. We finally did hear...

"The host Mrs. David was really nice. He had prepared for us some drinks for new year eve. The flat was well central located near underground and really clean. We will come again !"

"The shower is terrible. We never see someone and the remote contol for the air conditionning was not working. I Also had a problem With the key of the main entrance. The only Thing very good is the Wifi. "

"I booked this hotel last minute for perhaps cheapest price from available in internet to enjoy skiing in Borovets for 2 days. I am very satisfied with this affordable choice, because driving to/from borovets is easy by microbus going each 1/2 hour from Samokov bus station for price 1.30 BGN only. I enjoyed also visit to Samokov Monastery - service each evening at 17:00 - right after skiing."

"AVOID!! This is not a hotel, but a run down apartment. On arrival I was presented with an invalid phone number stuck to the front door window. After finally figuring this out and finding the correct phone number on expedia, I had a very long wait (in the freezing cold) for a grumpy host who eventually arrived and told me checkin was before 5pm (expedia said 1130, it was now 9:45) He then tried to put me in a tiny single room although I’d paid for a triple. "We thought this was a really perfect space for a couple on a short break in the city. The building is really nice and modern and the studio itself is well equipped, welcoming, comfortable and clean. Thanks for having us :)"
