"I highly recommend The Vintage House to anyone who is staying Pinhao. It is a lovely property with great service, very clean, good food and ambiance. We had an early train and since we didn't have time for breakfast, they provided a bag lunch for us that included sandwiches, croissants, pastries, an apple and water; perfect! All in all, a great experience! "

"This was my 3rd time staying at QdLR, yet I think this is my first review of the property(?). This is a solid gem in Pinhão. Although about 0.5 km from the town, the location means it is quiet. Wonderful, spacious room, excellent restaurant, and scrumptious breakfast, not to mention great wines and ports from the on-site winery. I had the trip from hell to get here and arrived late. They made certain I had dinner available and had a bottle of wine waiting in my room. They took great care of this weary traveler, which just enamored me even more with the place. Although my stay was barely over 14 hours, I will be back!"

"Probably the best hotel I’ve been to (and I’ve been to quite a few good hotels). This hotel was simply something different. The location - amazing view right above the Douro river. The design - beautiful, just beautiful, the room , the lobby, restaurant, bar, spa - you can see every little detail was considered. But above all it was the service - everything you need even if you didn’t know you need it was provided. The stuff is always there for you with a big smile. I’d say that in terms of service this hotel sets a new standard. Hope we’ll have the opportunity to come back to this hotel next year. 11/10. "

"Great spot overall. Banilda at the front desk went above and beyond. A rainstorm leaked through some of the walls and they shifted us to another room that was a definite upgrade. Rooms were clean and comfortable with a great deck. Would love to come back."

"We had a most delightful two day stay at the Casa do Santo. Our wonderful host, Maria was full of local and historical knowledge and made us feel very welcome. Many generations of her family have tended the winery upon which this beautiful boutique hotel is built. Our room was spacious and very comfortable with beautiful views of the vineyards. Everything was first rate. The breakfast was outstanding and the hotel offers tapas and their very own fine wine in the evening. The hotel is located in a charming little village on the side of the valley with stunning views. You can literally hike from your room through the village down the side of the valley through ancient terraces with vineyards and olive groves. The trails leads down to the Douro River and should not be missed. Our stay was truly magical. "

"A fantastic stay at a beautiful property with amazing views and surroundings - and dog friendly ! We had the best time including our Labrador who loved exploring the vineyards ! Shame we couldn’t use the pool as it wasn’t very suitable due to the weather, but nevertheless, it was a great experience ! Topping it off with great hospitality throughout !"
