"Quinta da Gricha is one of those special places that you sometimes stumble upon. What exquisite service. Our view overlooking the most dramatic aspect of the Douro Valley was amazing but. There was so much more. Impeccable service, custom regional dinner with wine from the estate vineyards, the beautiful natural pool that we had all to ourselves, and the lovely staff every single person whether working on the kitchen garden and the vineyards or making the breakfast or greeting us and helping us discover. This was a level above - kindness, value, and quality. We discovered something here unlike every generic hotel you’ve ever been. There is nothing like snapping a ripe orange off the tree as you watch the stunning sunset. Thank you! Obrigada!"

Waking up and opening the windows for the sun to come in with the river view was priceless. The nights are so peaceful and quiet. Friends and families stayed with us and loved as well. "We had an excellent time at Torel Quinta da Vacaria. They exceeded our expectations. This place truly is luxurious with a full spa. There is an outdoor pool and indoor pool. Steam rooms are open to all resort guests. The free breakfast was delicious with iberian ham included. The on site vineyard wine tasting was great too. Nice museum-like display told the history of douro valley vineyards."

"Our four night stay at Casa do Santo was FANTASTIC! The estate is beautiful, elegant and stylish, and Maria and her staff go out of their way to make you feel at home and to make you feel spoiled. The included breakfast was excellent, and so was the dinner that the estate offers upon request. Our room was spacious and lovely. The property has beautiful views of vineyards, and the tiny town in the gorgeous Douro Valley that it’s located in, Provesende, is charming. We hope to return, because Casa do Santo is an ABSOLUTE GEM!!!"
