"Upon entering the Abazzia after a short walk (5 mins) from the train terminal we were greeted warmly by Matteo. He checked us in early, and explained everything clearly. He was a funny and charismatic host which is what you want in any hotel. The room was beautifully appointed In the old Venetian style, and was clean and comfortable. "Just superb. The rooms were comfortable , the breakfast more than excellent and the best part was the vaporetto into Venice stops in front of the hotel. The lounge area in the front of the hotel is super comfy. Murano has a lot of shopping, and once the tourists are gone it is very quiet with still lots to do. "

"It was located perfectly, for me I don’t like to be in the city so, finding a hotel that is closed to trains, bus, subways, streetcar, etc is importance for me and this one was! A 20minute ride on the train to Venice (surprisingly trains were on time for most of the time). So if you are like me then this is a great place! "

"This was my first trip to Venice and the Hotel Cavalletto e Doge Orseolo was a great location for us to explore Venice from. Like most structures in Venice this obviously is an older building, but it is very well maintained and updated. They also had a very good full breakfast buffet included with the room. My only complaint was there was no hot water on our first morning, but they fixed that as soon as we notified them."
